Reference board

Photograph a board you know is good. Every test photo gets lined up against this one.

Getting a good photo

• Same height and angle every time. A phone stand or a box with a hole in it works.
• Soft, even light. Glare off solder joints is the main source of false alarms.
• Fill most of the frame with the board, same side facing up.
• Hold still and let the camera focus on the parts, not the bench.

Drag a box around each part you want checked. Boxes are optional: with none, the inspection compares the whole board.

Box the part body plus a little of its pads. Tight boxes on tiny parts work better at 2.2× zoom.

Each boxed part is matched against the reference. A low match means the part looks different or is gone.
